I removed the compressor housing (thanks for the recommendation) and exchanged the fitting with the longer one, found the hose was leaking at the fitting. No leak at the turbo now but I'm ordering parts to redo my upper oil pan and hoses, not happy with placement of the drain hoses now that the engine is in the truck. While underneath I noticed the steering rack looked to be leaking, the boot was dripping with oil on the bottom side (no way for the hose oil leak to get there). Guess I'll be replacing that when I swap the upper oil pan out.

    A thing or two...
If you're running the MAPECU3 on a 2nd gen, you have to use the AFR calibrator to make adjustments when the stock ECU is in closed loop.

I like the idea of a supercharger's ease of plug and play, but I'm curious what the cost/power increase works out to be. If it's 4.5k+ for only 100whp, meh. It looks like the site has a turbo kit for the 2.7 as well. I wonder if they'd be willing to sell specific parts out of the kit to make a turbo build easier?

My dune buggy guy pinched his wg diaphragm and is looking for decent one that is cheaper than tial or turbosmart... Is the cx racing wg any count?

If he has a name brand wastegate, just rebuild it.
I can't recommend a Chinese part. It's all a crapshoot. The flanges don't seal well.

If you look at the price of a wg or bov compared to the price of an engine, spending the extra money on quality parts will possibly save you more money in the long run due to a dominoe effect with part failure

The Chinese don't happen to copy down to the rebuild part. It's off by a little bit so the parts don't interchange. The only cheap way I know around turbo stuff is if it came factory on a car. $250 wastegate doesn't seems all that expensive for what it does.

Did some data logging in the buggy and he is out of injectors... And that wg is creeping hard with that pinched diaphragm... We hit 9.2 psi a time or two and he has been aiming for 5. Low 13's was as rich as I could get it... Injectors got to 17-18 ms... Thing is quick though; it's spooling at like 4600 rpms so he ordered a smaller turbo to see if he could get that down to a bit more useable for rock/hill climbing... I dont really know what this will translate to but he has a .63 ar to a .48
