Could you even make 400hp with the stock rev limiter? Sounds like you'd need that sucker to rev out to 6.5-7k.

I believe someone did it with a tiny china turbo and FMU and some apexi fueler. Super ghetto but it made power.
@Blackdawg probably knows what I'm talking about. I think the dude made 401 or something? I would guess 400 wouldn't be reliable though.

was gonna do the Cx kit minus the intercooler, use that turbo, probably go with a precision or garrett, i need to find a different intercooler cause my front wont work with that. Probably do meth, how big injectors? 550? i thought the pump now is good but what would you rec.

If you want to run reliably with just gas when you have no meth then yes 550's are probably fine.
Meth is always good from what I gather.
400hp is possible but may blow motor.
The thing is is that we don't have a bunch of dynos done on the 3.4 and don't have a super firm grasp on how much power it can reliably make, considering turbos on this thing are relatively new compared to something like the supra which has tons of data.
@vasinvictor said he had blown motors at 14psi, but I don't know how much power he made at 14

I wouldn't doubt someone has done it. Just seems like you will be slamming into the rev limiter right at 400hp.

Power doesn't have to be made top end. The turbo the dude was using had a .48AR exhaust and like a 48mm inducer, so it spooled like instantly. He had a dyno...maybe I can find the thread...

as of now i just want to start gathering for turbo. my main goal down the road is 400hp. but off the start 350 would be killer.

It would be better to make power and boost higher up in the rpm range as it is easier on the rods as I understand it, but @Torspd knows more than I do.
For 400hp i'd make sure you run a quality setup and a really good tune.
And I mean 400 tire is like 430-450 at the crank which aint no joke on a bone stock 3.4 truck motor

Yeah I remember that guy. Was 395hp I think.

You won't have a motor for long likely at that power level without some bottom end work.

That is cool. Must of been breathing fire. I know you can get a little 2871 to do 400hp if you run the piss out of it.

    A thing or two...
Sweet looking setup. Who makes those shock relocation towers? They look beefy.

It was a custom one off thing. My old fabricator busted out his laptop and pulled up solidworks, worked them out, and cut out plate on his plasma table. They were so beefy, that we resued them with this setup lol just had to modify the mounting points to bring the top of the shocks inboard more.

Ain't no downshifting when she goes up a hill
It's not struggling when she spools.

Helps if you listen to Bill Withers first.
