Im going to do a video on youtube for turboing the 2tr fe. Theres a lot of people out there with these trucks, but looking at the resources very few except for this. So if you want to see the war machine and my sexy face keep a look out

I'm down to watch. Hell. I subscribed to Budget Racers, just because they were a train wreck. Was still fun to watch though. Lol. If I watched their material, I would definitely watch your content.

 

I dont know if its going to be a series or if im just going to explain the necessary parts and procedures to turbocharging 2tr-fe

 

What do I all need when looking for a turbine housing I found cracks in mine. I know it's an A/R. 48, T3 flange and 5 bolt on the exhaust side. Is there anything else I need to consider when getting another? Anyone know what vehicles this was used on?

 

Definitely interested either way. Im sure other folks would appreciate the info as well.

 

Look at the turbo part number, that will help guarantee a good fit.

Anyone know if hp tuners successfully support 1gr With forced induction other than the TRD SC? There’s just so much to go through in that thread

I guess more specifically has there been Someone who can re-scale injector tables to make 80# injectors work and be able to tune for 6psi on turbo setup. Basically someone has to be able to rescale the MAF because a turbo pulls more than 355g/s which is a maxed out tacoma MAF.

I’m sure people have NA and supercharged figures out. But anyone exceeding trd reflash is gonna be lost. Friend with the turbo kit looking for other options other than UCON

 

You can always put your maf in a larger than stock pipe and scale.

 

Talk with @JustDSM . Can rescale injectors, and remote datalog to fine tune. Hasn't done a turbo that I am aware of, but bet he would be excited to have a crack at it.

No turbos on the stock ECU yet. Though I have assisted a XRunner member here with a TRD Cal as a starting point for a custom turbo setup. While he’s assembling/fabbing the setup, I’ve ported over the N/A tune into the TRD cal and got it running in stock-ish form.

I’ve also successfully got another XRunner running a URD Rotrex setup on the stock ECU running the TRD calibration as a baseline. We’ve made some progress tuning but ran into clutch issues, so progress has been put on hold while those issues are addressed.

Id be happy to assist with a turbo project.
