Turbo BS Thread

Im running the Urd s/c stage 1 kit on it right now. Most ive seen is around 8.5lbs of boost, but the head gasket is slowly starting to give up, so im planning to pull it out and have it rebuilt with boost friendly internals so i can turn it up. Plan is to run the URD blower till it dies and then ill go turbo most likely

 

So..... got everything wired up got my patch harness in with the afr module and the mapecu plugged her all in and started it. Truck ran like shit with afrs at 18 per ecu but aem gauge read 10. Trued to manipulate it but no success. It doesnt show rpms and such in the display menu

 

Any updates?

Are those custom AC lines that have the black sleeve over them?

 

Still trying to figure it out. Madtaco461 has been giving me a shit ton of help. Im still having difficulty getting the mapecu to save the fuel table.

 

Are you making changes in graph or table mode? Mine only saves changes in graph mode

 

Ding ding. Cut the hard lines to fit the turbo. About a year and a half ago. Finally got it routed with some soft lines, and charged.

 

Thats what its about, craftsmanship. I see too many hack jobs that that they never fix. Its one thing to complete a project and then never finish the little details. Good job on that

 

It wont save in either table. It wont save the ecu confugurations. I change it from maf elimination to maf intercept-maf y axis, and 4 cyl coil on plug. Save to table, load to ecu. Wait a minute. Disconnect from ecu. Wait . Connect to ecu but not load current table to view loaded map on ecu. I go into settings and theyre back to maf elimination and 6 cyl wasted spark

 

Can you load a tune to your ecu and it stay?

Well i can communicate with the ecu i wondering if its the drivers.

 

Looks nice, did you weld on AN fitting where you did the cut?

 

Your drivers and software are fine since you are talking to it. Most likely a simple order of operations. A cable going out would disconnect on you randomly. After a few times you get the hang of it.

he’s runing his urd SC tune, 80lb injectors with 7th injector At the moment. Running pig rich but here’s how it looks with 6psi.


He said the drive with the turbo is crazy. Response is so sensitive that it wants to break loose. Wasn’t like that with the SC

 

I plan on watching the videos before i start asking more stupid questions lol
