Exciting, would be cool to see someone go wild on this motor. I don't see 600 being an issue to make. My 2rz loves every bit of boost I push at it.

What he said. That engine would be easy to get 600 out of.

Do you have part numbers? There aren't any 2TR parts on the supertech website.

This is for the valve springs. For the valves, email them. Cause there is different types and sizes

The turbo is sized for low to mid rpm power, in future i may get a bigger rear housing for higher rpm.
Personally, i would go over 7k

Just heard back from the folks at Kelford, I'd have to say that the price and lead time for a set of custom ground cams will be a bit prohibitive for me.

Do it for the masses. :D. You'd be an then setup a business and have all orders go through your business, so that you make a commission on your expense. ;)

can always email crower too for custom cams, but I’m sure the price and lead time are in the same ballpark

I bought my truck for $600, the price of the cams was going to be more than three times that... I'll have to do a lot of saving to spring for them. Also would have to ship the head to them, which won't be a small bill either. Some day maybe!

4 banger cams off the shelf are about $1k. I was talking to Kurt on CT who did cams to his 3rz. Said it completely changed the motor. Motor is a dog below 1500 rpms, but he pulls hard all the way to 7500rpms with an 8k redline. I think he around 500+whp on e85. An extra 2k rpms of boost must be nice for long gears. I'll blow up my drivetrain again before I need cams.

Interesting, I'd like to keep the drive ability, but I'd also realllly like having an extra couple thousand to wind it out. Especially on the four speed.

Thanks for the idea of checking with Crower. Just got off the phone with them, and they said for the turbo application they'd regrind the stock cams for an extra 10 degrees of timing and 10 thousands lift. For $220. I'm hesitant to jump on that for that price. It seems off.
