The turbo heats your oil further than it would normally be heated causing it to become thin and break down. Using a thicker 5w-40, with more additives helps prevent this.

 

@Jstand have you put in one way check valves where they need to go, added a breather filter to the others, and rerouted your fpr vacuum to manifold?

 

I haven't done any one way check valves but I've done the other things you mentioned

 

That could be your problem the check valve. Most of us use a little one from eBay or Amazon. Just a plastic little one way vacuum breather. You did put a little cone filter on the tubes that need to breathe? I can shoot a couple pics of the check valve and breather

 

Unless the pcv system is causing a vacuum leak, which it may be, then it wouldn't really affect anything I don't think.

 

Its required for the supercharger. Be a good idea for a turbo

And we all know that the PCV system confuses people as far as routing is concerned, when a turbo is introduced. 4 Turbo kit people I always say it's easiest just to vent it to atmosphere. Valve cover two pre turbo inlet will also work as well.

So I'm guessing from this that I should vent PVC to atmosphere and plug the spot on the intake

 

As long as ur pcv doesnt see boost it shouldnt be a big deal, but i think most run a catch can and vent to atm... By most i mean me for sure

Been lacking motivation starting the transmission swap. I haven't done anything to the truck lately,lol. It was 100 degrees over the weekend and I was like nope maybe next weekend since it suppose to be nice and cool.

 

I miss that about Cali. Wait a week and get better temps. Were about to jump head first into the 100+ which will probably last over 100+ days lol........

 

I sit about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than az during the summer. Makes a difference for sure. First 100 degree weekend my body wasn't ready for it,lol.
