For the longest time, I had no A/C. Then I got that back working, and there was the associated idle related change. With the little time that I spent on it, I came to a similar conclusion. Where to wire to for a signal, and how best to remedy the tune. For mine, I settled with adjusting the tune, as if was the easiest solution for my needs at the time. With the added load of the a/c or not.

I do have a hunch that there is a short segment covered about this exact topic, in the YouTube series, The Skid Factory. I don’t remember the specifics, but I remember them outlining a diagram. One of the earlier episodes. Which would be on MCM2

I had no a.c. for 3 years... I poked a hole in my condenser mounting my IC... But I got cold air now... Is it in the switch? I think there is a write up somewhere in replacing some resistors for fans that only blow on high it's a common issue

I spent yesterday, literally the whole day, removing everything up to and including the front diff to remove the oil pan so that I could replace the upper oil pan with my new oil return lines. soooo many bolts and that little diff is harder to get in/out of there than it has to be due to the breather lines getting hung up :goingcrazy:

Next up is remaking the intercooler piping. I don't have much, but I've scratched it to hell and would like to move a bung.
This is on the way, I'll report how it works:

My buddy used that roller to make a firewall on his drag truck. It’s tricky, but does the job.
I can ask him for some lessons learned if you’re interested.

Those are cool. Panels look so good. Heard they are a pain to first get the hang of.

Take some progression pictures for sure. I am tired of using argon to build weld puddle bead rolls.

You're too kind, but thank you!. Too many projects and it looks like a tornado went through there right now.

I didn’t use any lube, raw turned it. I’m going to tape the other side, see if helps marks.

Those marks are from the cut off tool, maybe tape before cutting

    Thanks guys.

I believe I'm just now getting my head around volumetric efficiency tuning, a single video I watched yesterday sparked it. I'm still trying to get a definite answer on correlation of VE numbers in fuel table to fuel economy. My understanding is that VE is a reflection of how much air is in the cylinder. Thus, if there is a smaller volume of air to match with fuel to realize a particular AFR then there is better fuel economy. This supports my understanding of VVT-i's goal during cruise, to allow less air into the cyclinder (thus shrinking the engine displacement, for all intensive purposes). For example, if at idle I have a 55% VE I'm using less fuel than if I had 65% VE to realize the AFR. This is how I'm proceeding until proven otherwise- lowest VE at idle and cruise is best for fuel economy and highest VE at WOT is best for torque.
