Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
    Could be a number of things... My buddy decided he might have put the balance shaft back in out of time so we deleted it, compression was like just more than zero since new rings and stuff so we shot a little atf through the spark plug holes to help that a bit, it did seem like fuel delivery was a little slow so pressure may have been lost or something... Oh and while in the oil pan he found a parallel wedged between the block and #3 rod... He had used it to scrap rtv off the pan and must have left it up in there so it didn't get dirty on the floor or something, got lucky that it didn't run the other night or there would ve a whole in the block rn lol.

    Without those counter-balance shafts in place, oil pressure will be down. You will need something to take their place or a sleeve like LCE does for the 2TR/3RZ,

    Or grind the gears off and put them back in, if you don't want to time them.

    Parallel?

    I looked long into the balance delete for mine but decided to forego it. If you drive the front fluid bearing out into the oil pan, recover them, and reinstall them flipped over they will cover the oil passages. Front feeds the shaft journal that feeds the back bearing. There is a small port that will need to be tapped and plugged also. Good thread somewhere on it and can be done easily once you have access to the area. Really good YouTube on it as well. An Aussie has the bestest video. I was lazy didn’t feel like pulling the radiator.

    When we pulled my friend's, there were no bearings left to use. They spun and got chewed up like gum. Tasty metal gum.

    Are you building the engine with balanced internals, or just removing the shafts?

    The rotating assembly will be balanced, as it's getting new rods and pistons.

    Then you'll be pretty damn good. Highly doubtful you'll notice any strange harmonics.

    We tapped and plugged the oil hole because that's what the cool kids (scion) were doing. A parallel is a straight square piece of steel used (at least from what I gather) for making sure you have things aligned properly in a mill. It was 1 1/4" wide, maybe 5" long and 1/8-3/16" thick... And had the motor seized good and proper

    Yes sir! I started messing around with my other cheap Amazon one but when all the welds started having porosity in them I just said F this and ordered a Garrett core. The aluminum casting was so terrible. Heaps of garbage was coming out while welding.

    Hopefully I'll get to build tanks soon and get this on before the new year. I'll take some pics along the way.

    Looks like you're going to beat me, installing my same core. Years ago I purchased the Treadstone end-tanks, with the diverters. Onky recently purchased the core. Need to weld it all up.

    Making your own, or purchase aftermarket end-tanks?

    This makes me wonder how big I'll have to go for my ~500 hp build. I'm leaning towards the garret gtx3071R for making the fun happen. LCE's site says it's good for 560hp.

    There is a chart on Garretts website.

    What size engine do you have? 560hp on that turbo will be a pretty high boost pressure. Hope your engine is built and you are running E85 or similar high octane fuel.

    For comparison I'm using a Gt3582r on my 3.4 liter at about 10 psi.

    2.7 that's getting pretty much all the LCE goodies. The goal is to keep it on pump gas since there's no E85 in Maine really. Even 93 is getting hard to find. My goal is 500 hp or reliable 20-25lbs of boost, whichever happens first.
