    More data!
Ic kit is installed and running.
Acceleration feels smoother and more powerful. Very happy with the results.

Start up on a similar day to previous post. Warmed up a little from here.

2nd gear pull, temps now only hit 68° instead of 105°

Wow that is a huge difference! Were the ambient temps near the same?

Yes, pretty close. Both were done in the morning and they have all been chilly.

Big part arrived today! It's going to have to sit on a shelf for awhile until the engine and such is ready, but ooooh is it sexy! 3575C744-F15F-4162-A5D6-1905214CEAAC.jpg47D81854-AA39-4AC9-A894-BD8333DA8A5D.jpg0958470D-E25A-44D2-87C1-3F40E5DE5B27.jpg

Didn't know they weren't, it's a bit interesting ordering just the plenum and not the entire intake kit.

Back in fall they were out of stock. Haven't looked recently.

I ordered it on the 4th and it arrived today. I don't know if they have raw in stock, but it seems they have the black finish.

I'd do black too. My stuff sees too much dirt.

Another question. What is the wait time until lce will touch your motor?

They're not doing the motor, I'm just getting all my parts from them and assembling myself. Having a local shop do the boring and head clean up/prep.

I'd hate to see the price on shipping my engine to them.

Cool. I'm trying to figure out how I want to have my 3rz built. Assuming you aren't doing a deck squeeze plate or whatever they are called when you bore out the sleeve to simulate head being torqued

I'd have to check with the engine shop if they do it that way or not. I'm not sure if they do. I've been meaning to contact LCE about cams and see if they're planning on doing something for us turbo guys. I'd happily send them my spare cams to mess around with.

If you end up getting a deck plate made. I'd buy/ rent it off you when I build up my 3rz. Just not sure if I need the extra precision for a 400hp motor. Think the head studs and piston holes are in the same spot. We can check specs when I pull the head on mine.

Only thing I saw for cams was I think I saw a place that can grind any cam to give you an extra 10* duration and extra 0.010" lift. Not sure how much that would help.

Yeah I remember talking with crower and they said "oh yeah just send them in and we'll regrind them." But wouldn't tell me any more than that for lift or duration specs, and I'm hesitant since it's a vvti engine and I'm not sure how to tune around that.

yeah if I get a deck plate made I'd be happy to share the love with it.

Probably who I was thinking of. They are kinda local to me in SD. That's probably a pretty mellow grind. I bet the stock tune can run it well. I think LCE stage 1 in 3rz is more aggressive.
