    I used a dremel to taper the flange hole on mine. Doesn't look as clean as that, but it can't be seen when installed.

    My current drains are screw-in NPT threads so no way to dremel them out. Would be a cool idea if these billet ones weren’t so dang nice

    Spoke with Turbosmart at 2K too and the way the BOV was installed it's fighting the vaccum source. I have a throttle body spacer I will install and use as a source for the BOV. That'll fix the bleeding BOV issue

    Is it close to the OEM size? Maybe they thought they could get away with it with near stock specs.

    Well I changed my vacuum routing last night. Someone had hooked the wastegates to the boost solenoids that are typically mounted on the turbos for the CRV. Then they had the compressor housings t'd into the front boost solenoid. This is not how the routing or the solenoids work and there was a feed side (compressor housings) feeding into the outlet on the boost solenoid and the exact opposite for the wastegates. They go on the outlet side of the solenoids because it's supposed to pull boost from the hot pipe. Which by the way isn't where the solenoid is pulling from. It's pulling from the intake so I'll need to see if I need to tap the hot pipe so the wastegates have a reliable boost reference.


    Truck feels better and I can feel the boost and wastegates better. It's a weird feeling but it's moving the right way now. Next thing to tackle is the BOV and throttle plate. I'll do that all at once when I get my flanges and fittings for the drains.

    Poor vacuum routing, can seriously make a turbo charged vehicle run like :poking:.

    That is typically the hardest part for most people when adding a kit to their vehicle which didn't have one. Happens all of the time when people turbo their 1GR's.

    Since you said pressure, I have also seen this happen on the drain hose, when the PCV system isn't routed properly. As it becomes pressurized.

    For that reason, most "kits" have the PCV separated from the intake routing, to be vented to atmosphere. Just typing it out.

    I had some drain issues also. Found a thread that said it was important to have vacuum on your PCV. I used to have my PCV run to a vented catch can but what that caused was a slight overpressure of the engine block which made it difficult for the oil to drain from the turbo as the pressure was going through the oil pan up into the turbo bearing housing. I connected the PCV to the intake tube, pre turbo, and now the small vacuum helps "suck" down the oil from the turbo housing. Fixed all my problems.

    An oil pressure regulator can certainly help here as well.
