The stock V6 tacoma torque convert it set at like 2200 rpm before it overcomes the brakes, that's why you can't get a good launch, the 4 banger one may be set lower. The only way to get a higher rpm launch from what I understand is to get a performance torque converter at like 3000rpm

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Not everyone lives in a state they can do stupid shit in. I got to drive 4-6 hours just to drive on rocky trails (roads).

very very close. Its actually a Garrett T25. hence the strange cold side housing.

I was wrong. It actually is a 16G. I didnt realize the hot side bolt pattern was wrong for a T25.

I was wrong again. It is a T-25, but its using a Mitsubishi Turbine housing thats identical to a 16G housing on the outside.
Jafro pretty much taught me how to rebuild an engine without me ever leaving my room. and theta glyptal stuff is nuts. i dont think i have the patience to make a block that clean.

well I was half right and you were half right! @Gaunt596

Looking back things I would have bought, instead of my truck for performance:

    An LS type car/truck
    A civic/ honda
maybe a mitsubishi after watching jafro

But I'm glad I bought my truck, I'm glad I bought a Tacoma. For the most part people here are great and I'd say we have one of the most active forums out there with some pretty great people doing some pretty great things in the way of making trucks fast that were never meant to perform. :D
