Sold the whip on Saturday. Ended up buying something more practical and more reliable

 

When is the twin turbskis kit going on?

 

Just got a single turbo on this i4 and much happier If I did plan to do anything to it, if anything at all, it won’t be until the bumper to bumper ends. I wouldn’t mind some fox 2.0’s, KO2’s and a tune but that’s it. No upgraded turbos for this one

 

So buys another new Ferd.........

 

Any idea if the coils from the Tremor fit on the FX4 shocks?

 

I've made three circumferential passes with filler rod. Pressing it deep into the puddle, to impregnate the casting.

Minus making six star like legs or tails emanating from the circumference outward, I am feeling good about the strength of what I have done here. I can now weld the tube to the filler wall that I have created.

 

I'm a sucker I guess for them. This one isn't getting a motor swap and big turbos. Fuck ever dealing with that engine builder again.

So the Tremors are just fox 2.0's so yes it's a perfect swap they even make 2.0's that the hook is they are "Tuned by Ford Performance" aka the tremor shocks. Also found out the LED headlights for the Latiat swap over to the XLT with no harness. Honestly though I think I'd do alpharex Nova black series for the ranger

 

There are engine builders in Houston, you know.

 

why not fox 2.5?

 

Price really. The 2.0's for front and rear are like $1400 and that's the tuned suspension. Plus 2.5 would honestly be Overkill for me. My overland and insane build dreams are fizzed out.

Yea I know but this truck doesn't need a new motor and if it does it's not gonna be me replacing it

 

What size filler rod are you using?

 

For the circumference, ~.035".

 

Impressed with Boomslang. They are going to make me a PNP harness that also adds in all my extra sensors that aren't part of my oem harness. It's going to be nice that I don't need to spend a whole weekend with the solder gun.

 

Boomslang always has my vote. They blended a Unichip harness for and 2009+ Tacoma with an earlier year model harness, so that the Haltech could be plug-n-play on the 2009+.

 

Came together quite swell.

 

Ayyye the truck is moving again!

The transmission is currently manualized but shifts smooth.

@BassAckwards, the larger "dimes" were made with 3/32" filler rod.

Yup, finally decided to make the jump. Only been on the fence for 4 years.
