What style sensors are these? The screw in or flanged bolt in? Either can be tricked.

 

Did you go to his forum? I see he is posting on there.

 

I started the turbo thread on that forum. No matter how much I call him out though on saying the tunes were finished and then not releasing them, it's not going to matter. He's just going to take his sweet time after all. In my opinion, this just says the tune update was never complete.

Quick fix would be parts house spark arrester in the ‘Help’ section. Slightly longer would be a fleaBay purchase of purpose built one using same principle.

I’ve read that a sleeve of pipe tie wired onto the bolt on kind so well.

 

I believe has the something similar with the catalytic material in that extension.

Yeah I have Fabspeed's sensor spacers with mini cats

 

No code for passenger side, which would be p0420. I just have p0430

 

Have you tried pulling the sensor and checking to see what that Fabspeed insides look like? Since it has a few miles on it now.

 

This. What I used on my VW was open throughout. Just pulling the sensor out of the stream was enough but it needs to still see some exhaust. Otherwise you could just remove it and zip tie it underneath.

 

I peeked inside the mini cats when I first got them. They had actual cel material in them. Idk what they look like now though. I guess it's possible they'd be clogged but after only about 2500-3k miles, not likely I would think

Yeah they're a bunch of mad lads over there. I'm in a Thai specific 1uz Facebook group and the builds on there are insane.

 

I think the attitude over there is "Do It!". Whereas here it is primarily cynicism and "Why, it's a truck..." One day. One day.

 

Wonder if it was the revised intercooler pipe connections somehow resulting in my p0430 returning.

Yesterday I was leaving work and decided to tighten the clamps right there in the parking lot. They were tight, but I was able to clamp them down a decent bit further.

I immediately noticed the truck feeling stronger under higher boost pressure and then after I got to work just now, I turned the truck off and started it again and the CEL cleared.

It's never cleared that quickly with any of the exhaust leaks I've chased down in the past. Lol

 

Your system is much more sensitive than ours.

Seems that it may very well be associated to your intake.

On 4Runners, I have seen that an exhaust leak, will cause the ABS light to come on.... Basically no ABS because an exhaust leak.

All due to how the CAN system is routed.

Yours could very well be intake related. Weird.
