With the 3GT, the CEL turns on the TRAC OFF light and you lose cruise control, very irritating.

A couple months ago I had it come on while pulling a hill under boost with CC on. Lol 80mph, 80, 80...WHAM, speedo needle dropped like a rock lol

I found a guy who’s able to make a turbo manifold for my 2tr. This unit is for a 3rz that he’s making now. I don’t believe he’s made one for a 2tr yet. Price was quoted at 1000 to 1500 range. Thoughts? Any interest? I’m thinking possibly a group buy for better pricing.161C3099-D2CF-4379-8A6E-C61DE211804E.jpg

I mean, when I had my Mazdaspeed 3 I went big turbo and I think I paid like $900 during a sale for the mani I went with. :notsure:

It took me 40hrs to make my 2rz manifold, but I'm slow. 1k sounds about right. I would swap runners 1 and 2 around. Makes for an easy oil drain.

The price is a bit steep but it’s probably because there aren’t many options, potential customers and the current inflated prices. I’m just weighing my options atm.

I believe it. Less demand for your application and material prices are nuts right now.

I've got an order in on a trailer and recently the company posted a price comparison of materials purchased last year and this year. Let's just say I'm glad I got my order in when I did, before any price hikes on their end

If you swap runners 1 and 2 wouldn't your flow be messed up with unequal lengths?

Im actually considering buying a welder and having a go myself. Probably a log style, simpler the better. Do you have a picture on how your oil drain is ran?

At least you locked in a good price. I’ve been paying too much for lumber lately.

It's unequal in that picture anyways. Switching 1 and 2. Also 3 and 4 would give you closer to equal length. It might help scavenging because fire order is 1-3-4-2. Mine is a unequal short mani. I felt a huge difference going from log to a 4 to 1. Couldn't tell you how much better equal length is.

Going to need to zoom in on the first picture, but I have a 45* oil fitting and wrapped the pipe. I would recommend a hard 90 coming out of runner 1

I was going for an amateur version of this, but a tighter collector angle than this.

Took me probably the same or longer, with the header that I had to make for that PreRunner. Since I had to make all of the pie cuts. Ugh.

I can see why that angle is wide though. Easy to access the weld points.

i hoping this manifold stays alive for a while so I don’t need to go thru that again. Shoot I can make a log in 8hrs, but the power I get from a 4 to 1 is nice.

Quality in that efficiency. I had to wait a week, before I can purchase the used manifold from that other member. Then there will be at least a T3 manifold jig.
