I thoughts there was an e85 exhaust sensor. I’ll have to look again at the ECU setup I was considering for my Audi then.

Here’s the one I’m looking at. Already found a guy stateside to help me set it up. Scroll down a bit to the sensors and they claim to be able to tune blended fuels on the fly. My guy says if I had a partial tank of 93oct and topped off on e85 it will adjust as it sees it. Be it a final ratio of e20, e40, or whatever. He said I’d need an additional sensor in the exhaust stream for this option to function otherwise it’d need to be tuned for all in or none. Above my skill set ATM. These ECUs are basically a blank slate for VAG vehicles. Anything the ECU sees and has control over can be changed from seatbelt chimes to spark power per cylinder. You name it.

Just now getting on ESP to see how this might have screwed with my tune, there's a P2A00 code but no engine light so I'm going to have to look into that.

It did try to make adjustments so I cleared out the O2 adjustment table and went for a little ride, all good now. I believe had I had the auto learn feature off the truck would have ran fine. I forgot to tell earlier that this went out on my drive into work this morning during interstate driving and after about a 3 minute period the truck was jerking around and vacuum was showing like I was driving into a hurricane head wind. It ran incredibly better at 50MPH on the way home, much more normal behavior but I got some nasty looks haha. After another week or two of driving and it relearning the fine tune I'll turn the auto learn feature off and it'll be locked into the tables. One day I'll have this thing pro tuned, I just don't want to drop any more money into it until my home reno projects are finished.

 

I hear all of that. Soon enough.

 

What's your opinion on extending the intake runners on an NA. I've seen people 3d print some spacers but don't know if it's worth trying. I do have plenty of space before I reach the hood.

 

What do you have to lose by trying?

 

Theory is you should gain more bottom end power and flatten out the top some. Works like a 2 stroke pipe.

I was also curious how they planned on supporting the weight of the turbos. Now I see it.
