    That’s where it sits for another week. Ordered stuff to fab a downpipe and to do the intake. OEM airbox won’t fit so I’ll get some aluminum plate and see if I can’t rig my press up into a brake to isolate the heat using a cone filter. Also looking for some bigger injectors as per tuner. 800+cc but I don’t want to spend $400 or more from them plus the $6-700 for tuning it. According to them my 500cc will lean out but I logged 80% IDC and a 0.8 lambda on my Jetta with same physical setup but 20psi tune. But it wasn’t tuned for the extra 10psi of boost and pulled hella timing…yet logged good fueling numbers. I get 3 revisions through them with the initial cost so may just send it and see. Also looking for a bigger core front mount intercooler that doesn’t require a lot of inner bumper trimming.

    You've always shown your resourcefulness for research and creative ways to navigate hurdles mechanically. For this decision though, it feels like you know you should get the 800cc injectors.

    What if you got 1 1000 cc injector and ran a 5th injector set up??? I mean I just cut your cost in half right? And the math nearly works out the same for total ccs, that also might help your intercooler needs some too? Right? A 5th injector runs into the intake plenum right? Which would cool the air down before it was shoved in the cylinders

    Actually looking at these Miata ones. Trying to decipher if they’ll work. Figured out the length is the same and O ring sizes are the same. Got a little more digging to do, hopefully tonight, and pull the trigger. Weird how they want to price the VAG injectors higher especially if these work.

    Theoretically I suppose. I’d need to drill a hole and put a cup in for it with a hold down of some sort. Was gonna do a W/M setup but didn’t want to fool with sourcing meth, mixing, then storing it on long hauls. Looking at a twin turbo v6 Allroad OEM intercooler which is nearly an identical chassis but haven’t found one online I can return for free yet if it doesn’t work. Could just eat the return shipping costs are just throw it in the shed for a sub $200 lost gamble.

    what would cause a MAF sensor code on a on a new OEM sensor besides a bad sensor or wiring issue?
    2rz with a 54mm turbo, pinks, and right about 7psi..

    Is that MAF adapter tube the right diameter, they need to be in the diameter tube they're designed for.

    No tuning yet I just barely got it running. Yes that is a 3" MAF adapter in the middle with the reducer to bring the ID down to 2.5" or so. I know there have been issues with those with other builds.

    The only thing I have done is added the Pink tops and limited the boost to 7 with the wastegate spring in the Turbosmart 45. Turbosmart Adj. Fuel pressure regulator set to 45psi. The MAF code is the only one I am getting currently.

    Sometimes the inlet pipe I have circled going to the maf can cause issues. Make sure the small pipe isn't too far in the coupler. I have mine end right at the t clamp. You want the air to diffuse by following the coupler. It is like having a water nozzle pointing at the maf. I made a honeycone air straightener before the MAF on mine. I now can peg out the maf sensor to max voltage. A 3 inch pipe leading up to the maf is best.

    awesome. I will re-check that tonight. I may need to find a better solution for the 3" MAF adapter.

    I'll apologize in advance, this is my first build from scratch system. I may ask some commonly known questions that have been answered in the past.

    While we are at it, how far down the down pipe does the O2 and Wideband 02 bungs need to be placed? and in a staggered orientation correct? I'm still in the wiring process currently.

    18" is the typical minimum, try not to have them inline with eachother, don't put them upside down, water kills em if it can stay in them
