I did mine like this. Can't tell but they are clocked differently.

 

Did you always have the wrap on it? Does it make that much of a difference? I’m looking to do stainless downpipe and V band over to steel for the rest of the exhaust system.

 

It keeps the sensitive areas cool. There is a difference. Not as good as a nice sheet metal cover floating over the pipe.

I searched the DW website and found several alternatives. Used ‘ford’ as a keyword since I was running 2003 SVT Cobra injectors already and voila. I found these that produce 980cc at 4bar for $320 shipped. Close enough for gubmint work.

Also during my searching found that quite a lot of injectors are cross compatible. LS1/LS6 and lots of Ferds fit. As long it’s 60-65mm from O ring to O ring and 14mm fuel rail ports.

Pretty interesting results, as long as you have a content analyzer and are tunable.

 

Appreciate it. Im going to have to get creative with my exhaust. Right now, it's straight piped and only about 12" in total length lol. It does sound rowdy though..

Is there a correct orientation for flow in regards to the MAF sensor position? There was not an arrow or any sort of designation showing the flow path for the sensor. Ill have to check that because it may be in backwards.

 

Yes, or at least as far as I know they are directional. That would be a really easy fix if that's the case

 

You didn't try to run the motor without the brake booster connected? That's a pretty massive air leak.

 

Long side of MAF housing should be filter side.

 

So I checked the upstream IC piping. It was too long as previously thought. I trimmed it to the correct length. P0100 code is still there.
This is the orientation of the sensor in the MAF adapter. Seems correct from what I have looked at online.

is this correct? Only 3 things could be wrong: orientation of the MAF, bad sensor, or wiring correct?

 

No, could be more. Those are good places to look though. It's probably something simple, just have to think about how the ecu wants to see things.

Bmc leak was mentioned, among other vac/pressure leaks.

How is Pcv/crank vent ran?

 

Not sure if the sensor is the same as the 2nd Gens, but mine is the opposite orientation. Harness plug facing the engine.

 

Negative, Every vacuum hose was connected.

 

Stock hose to stock location.

 

Rz motors are this direction. His is correct.


It's either maf sensor, wrong insert in housing, or wiring with that code
