    Shoot I should pull off my AC belt in the winter. 2rz life. My mechanical fan eats a ton of my power, but I don't want the efan life again.
    Glad that belt is working out so well.

    I've thought about going to efan life here and there. 3rz in mine. I feel like I lose half my HP when that mechanical fan kicks in.
    I hear too many failures stories about efans though to make me wanna give it a try. That would suck to have an electrical fan failure on the trail somewhere

    That efan made great power letting the motor rev out. I slammed into the rev limiter a whole bunch. If I did it again I'd buy a very nice brushless fan and have the haltech control it. My radiator is too thick now to squeeze it in there.
    I had e fan failure. You just cruise at speed. Just sucks when it's shits during a pull.

    Which brand e-fan?

    I ask because I have had zero issues with the two SPALs on my truck, and one on my Bimmer.

    Flex a lite. More like flexheavy. It was ok for street but couldn't handle my abuse. I'm sure a brushless spal would of been great, but 10 year ago brushless was still just coming out. The old fans required 30 amps.

    Pretty sure the Bimmer is a 16". The Tacoma has two smaller than that. I'd have to measure them. Maybe two 12's? One is to a temp sensor in the manifold for the radiator hoses and thermostat.

    It kicks on at 186. Simplistic design as it kicks on at full power. Then the other's relay is wired to the A/C relay. If I turn the fan knob to any

    No issues with temps while only the 1 fan is running?
    Good idea with having the other cycle on with A/C as long as the other single can otherwise manage temps.
    I would think a single 12" couldn't do enough CFM to keep up in low speeds and/or crawling scenarios. Those OEM clutch fans apparently do 3k+ CFM or something like that

    Their higher end belts are beyond excellent (RPM, HD, Fleetrunner) , that's why I've been pushing them on ppl. Specially for S/C.

    I bought the highest rated fan Flexalite makes and a big ol sheet of aluminum to make a shroud but I think I'm gonna stick with the mechanical fan after all. The e-fan moves a shit ton of air, I just don't want the added complexity right now.. If anyone wants this fan LMK...

    How prone are the mechanical fans to failure? This summer the AC has had a hard time cooling when static. Like long red lights, etc. I charged it and it’ll freeze you at road speed, just not when static.

    Fan clutch do go bad. If yours is pretty old might be worth your time to replace.

    Another topic. Has anyone used one of those GESI G sport high flow cats recently? They are pretty expensive. Curious if they kill the tail pipe stank when at idle or cruising.
