I raised my RPMs to 725 since I deleted the balance shafts, to smoothen out the idle. Did you see any A/C benefit?

I didn’t see any benefits that were noticeable, but I also don’t really have to idle the truck hardly ever with the way my commute is. I will definitely give it a shot again once I get the Haltech in the truck. It couldn’t hurt to try it out with your setup and see if it helps some

This is indeed pretty tight to the coilbucket. I cut out a little bit of my gusset I installed to give a little more room. Might have to get rid of the T4 compressor housing. The compressor inlet also barely clears the ac compressor and the rad hose is going to be in the way. Hopefully I can cut that down. I might have to make a new airbox also to make this work.

The lower two nuts on this thing are a bitch to get on. Ended up having to grind down the shoulders on a wrench to get them tight. No way to get a socket on them and had to remove the filter housing. I hope I got them tight enough and hopefully they never need to come back off.

Got the downpipe tac'd up just need to connect the wastegate. Going to test my fab skills getting that to fit decent.

I was at that point too. But on tons and 40s I wanted to be able to get up hills on interstate and I wasn’t confident in the 3.4 sc.

That is super tight! An easier exhaust outlet should be the trade-off though.

Well that's enough to piss ya off. Wastegate flange doesn't line up after welding. Though I had enough tacs on it to keep from moving guess not. May try elongatimg the holes. 20221002_164626.jpg

And so it begins…. I get on FB and find a 2/3rz turbo group and within 4 days of posting a Treadstone inquiry it’s snowballed to a dealer in Orlando. There were several in stock then and 3 tonight. Now there’s 2 in stock. Now I’ll be looking for a t3 turbo.

Similar story here. Moving forward with building a manifold for a local 3rz. Still a few more things to go, but flanges are ordered.

    Hello Gents.

I feel after many hours of surfing the TWWeb I've started chasing my tail. I am in need of direction and help
    Back drop info.

I've already ordered CX racing turbo/ manifolds/downpipe/WG/ IC
I've done my homework per what I need but the information regarding tuning/computing is where I'm stuck and lacking.

I want to get set up before I boost over 4psi but bigger injectors/fuelpump to come.
No intention of turning the truck into a meth addict.
I don't anticipate ever venturing over 400whp. But am aiming to take it to about 350whp for end goal.

I've got one hiccup on my Turbo parts purchase list and this is EMS. First I started with simply looking at an innovate Boost/AFR Gauge. Then delved a little further into the Standalone situations. And after a lot of reading on the forum of guys who've used megasquirt/ProEFI/URD etc. I don't see any plug and play ECUs for the 5vzfe. This is my first rodeo boosting. Any help would be appreciated; as the ball is currently in motion. Budget is variable; if its worth spending higher dollar on a Standalone i will. I'm needing some direction to some products.

Do you have a manual? If so check this out. Standalone is definitely the way to go. The stock ecu is a party ruiner

I think SNP has a plug and play setup for a Haltech. It's not cheap though.

Picked up a Spectre MAF tube to finish the Treadstone manifold install. I'll have to make a new airbox to make use of the snorkel again. I like how much lower this is compared to my previous manifold. I'll have more room to play with the intercooler if I decide to clean things up. On the initial drive there were no witness marks from the compressor housing hitting the coilbucket yet.

Performance wise, I'm not sure I notice a difference between the log style mani and this. Pulling the hill close to my house my timing stayed closer to 20 when it used to drop to 15 in 5th. Could be attributed to having a clean air filter, can't believe it still ran with that much shit caked in there. Things are quiet without all the leaks and I can barely hear the turbo spool anymore :(. I can however hear the turbo flutter when letting off.
