I think I tore it down in late December haha.

 

Been s long two years in my head then. Lol.

 

It's been too long for sure though. Year started off rough, had to keep setting things aside. Only got steady working time in the last month.

 

Since it is show and tell, I'll share some updates too.

Some progress for a 2TR-FE T3 internal wastegate header.

Anybody running non OEM injector cups? I ended up with an extra and considered have some stainless or aluminum cups made. Was thinking OEM replica with maybe dual O ring grooves. And possibly the rubber isolator in metal with a recess for an O ring both external and internal.

Have you secured the water to air cooler down yet?

Also, I am really curious to see what the post cooler IAT's will be.

 

Yeah I made some straps to secure it. Not fastened yet because I have to take it out once more to fit the water lines to the pump and heat exchanger.

 

Ahh, more of a functioning mock-up stage. Makes sense now.

 

Sorta the heat exchanger is really the last part of the equation. It should be here on Monday. The 95 to 97 front end is really skinny so I don't have a whole lot of room for a cooler so finding a heat exchanger took me a while.

 

So the one in the engine bay isn't staying? Is the arriving one the one from the Mercedes?

 

No that one in the engine bay is staying. I just had to get the front mounted portion from somewhere else. The part in the engine bay is from a V12 Mercedes, specifically the right bank of cylinders. The heat exchanger I'm putting in front of the engine radiator is from a different model of Mercedes since it was the only thing I could find that was thin enough to fit behind my grill. I'm interested to see what kind of temps I get out of it too.

 

Oh ok. Mind lapse. Taking a break from yard work, and the exhaustion kept me from understanding.
