    Truck looks super clean, and the paint looks better than that on my 2006. Eesh. Doesn't say much about the paint woes of my year model though.

    How are you liking the Haltech so far?

    Thanks! Toyota white holds up decent being single stage, just polish it up when it starts to haze or cloud.

    The Haltech is great I think, lots of capability and adjustability. It's amazing how quick I could be totally daily drivable with it. Just needs some efficiency work in the tune now and it should be decent all around. Getting horrible MPG currently but that's probably equal parts tune and my right foot haha. Soon after that I'll start turning up the boost a bit

    I found that to be the case with mine too with the mpg's. It's surprising how much gas it drinks on the occasional pull. As long as you stay out of the boost, mpgs are pretty much unchanged.
    Just goes to show how much work toyota put into the ECU to try and make it efficient

    Yeah and I start hardcore safe and work my way down so even my transition cells are way richer than need be. Slowly but surely I'll get it nailed out. With a power adder it is way easier to ride near 0 inHg as well which even in a stock tune is richer than stoich so that contributes a bit, you'd normally only see that at wide open throttle NA. I'm going to put in my 4.56 gears next week as well which will lower my load all around a bit.

    Yea totally. Especially with 35's and such, it's easier to load it down and hit that 0 inHg at lower rpms. What gears do you have currently?
    Have you done any knock sensor tuning or do you plan to at all?

    I have 4.10s in there currently. If I had knock sensors I might try to fart around with them for another layer of safety in my tune. But I've never tuned with knock sensors before, I have detcans and my local dyno has an external knock ear setup to listen for it. I'm not shooting for a bleeding edge tune, even as conservative as it is now I sit at more advance than a stock computer would achieve NA in most cells.

    The hardest part for me is the transient throttle tuning. I only ever get a brief amount of time to mess with it, so I cannot be too thorough. I think mainly it is my lack of understanding on it. As the inputs aren't making noticeable enough changes where I need it. More time is needed to better figure it out.

    Best fuel mileage that I ever had was ~30 mpg on a highway trip. I was literally giddy when I calculated that. That was done with the Haltech and the turbo kit installed. I was not staying under 60 mph either.

    Yeah transient tuning is tough, I love that it is a by ear/feel thing, but I also hate that it is a by ear/feel thing haha

    Mine shows that it needs more instant tip in fuel, as there is a lean spot. Which I understand. However, my fueling changes only seem to make a difference when I get heavy into the throttle. So not sure what adjustment or where to properly adjust that out. Eh.

    Gotcha. Yea if you take enough timing out down low where you don't want to be building boost, you should be alright without knock control.
    Also why I plan to do the trans gear timing correction map for added safety in higher gears where you might forget to downshift or something

    Also, is 1st Gen white better than 2nd Gen white? I think it may be. Considering that I have two in my proximity, and the 1st Gen's looks better than the 2nd's.

    I've got a bit more control over where my boost occurs and how much occurs too thankfully. But as of right now for safety I pulled a degree out in all of the positive pressure cells but I don't think I needed to. I'm, still sitting at 17-19* at WOT at 6psi.

    Lawsuit went back to 08... So missed it by 1 year
