I like em, hard to have leaks with those thicc gaskets

 

Won't that space the manifolds further apart affecting the crossover pipe connection?

I was also wondering if it would effect the strength of the manifold studs (could be way over thinking here). Specifically shearing strength on the heavy passenger side manifold from a little extra leverage and a thicker matirial with some give to it on a hard bump maybe

 

I've still never mounted it up. Haven't had a good enough window to have the daily driver down. If the gaskets do provide too thick for the crossover I have 3 different spare sets on standby

I ran a similar *Remflex* gasket on a BOV block plate on the turbo mani of my VW and it blew it in a couple of days. They don’t handle the back pressure generated by a turbo as well. Good on NA exhaust. I was also running 30psi of boost. Found a skinny steel and ran that next and it held.

 

Remflex gasket. Permatex just didn’t sound right so I checked my purchases histories.

 

There be the issue... rounded that corner too tight it never made contact with the mating surface to even attempt to seal.

 

I personally never noticed a difference between having the stock fpr plumbed to see pressure or not. Mine is T'd however.

I'm pretty sure what you are describing is just the way the stock ecu handles fueling. WOT from a stock and rowing through gears I'll see low 12s. Cruising up a hill slowly applying more throttle it'll stay mid 13s.

 

Yea i think the same. I belive its still in closed loop during what I'm experiencing, which I have solution for just haven't wired it in yet.

Got the pan out cleaned up and mounting again here soon should take care of the oil leaking issue. Also situated my passenger cross over clamp better so I can get rid of that exhaust leak then should be running pretty nicely.

 

I use the torque app to see when it switches to open and closed. Even when it's in open I still don't see very low afr

 

What PID are you using in Torque App? I haven't been able to get one to work for open/closed loop.

 

ADD display and scroll down to fuel status.

 

I don't know how I have never seen this... here I was trying to add custom PIDs...thanks!
