Time for the needle nose

 

I can barely get my smallest needle nose plyers in there and it's a cheap jewelers pair that bend pretty easy

 

Spray the shit out of the thing with some lube and then try to tap it in reverse with a punch and mallet

 

I was just trying that with heat too

 

Really wish I had a fitting to just put in the port below the oil pressure sensor now haha. I wonder if I could drill out the plug and tapping it and just not use the T at all

 

Saw a TikTok on FBook where this is a simple fix. Grind it down flush and then sacrifice a small socket. Cut grooves in the end of the socket where they’ll go around the edges of the tap and simply back it out.

 

Home depot / hardware store
1/4npt male to 1/8npt female reducer, some call it a bushing.
If you need a 90° or 45° then 1/4npt male to 1/4npt female in the angle you need plus the fitting listed above.

It ain't perfect but damn it's close.

Still leaking a little bit but at least it buys me some time and it's drivable.



The cam plug seal on the valve cover is leaking more than anything else.

Now to focus my attention back to the downpipe

 

Sounds minimal if cam slug is leaking more, unless that's just pouring out. I would put 2 wraps of pipe tape on the Npt threads, 1 thread up so none gets in galley/orifice. You can revisit this later on.

Little progress over here. Made a mount for the 750. Already thinking of revisions but it's better than just wedged in there.

Found a piece of alum plate that was about .5" larger in either side. Cut some clearance into it and rounded edges on belt sander. Put a small bend in it to accommodate location. My friend had these random alum stand offs in his tool box, one side M6x1.0 the other M8x1.25 and just about the right length, so usable. Had to turn the diameter to clear. Cut some hardware down and bolted it up.

 

Ohhhhh shiiiiii! Easy on the skinny pedal.

 

I was taking it easy for sure, definitely no burning rubber one of my neighbors is a cop and I tend not to shit where I sleep

 

I’m about 2 miles from a 4 lane highway. About 4 miles east is a domestic hot rod shop. We all ‘test and tune’ on this stretch between us since it’s a little valley of sorts between hills and state popo can be spotted straightaway if their out and about.

Boosted side note: I got my bottom end built but intake valves appear to be on back order other wise the head would be at machine shop. I do have the old cracked head for piping mock-ups when I make it back from work in a week or so.

These should hold all I can throw at them.
