    Hey guys, I hooked the laptop up to the Haltech to fine tune cruise control a few days ago- NSP called for an update and I obliged. Afterwards I developed a bouncing tach needle that would stall the engine with AC on. I went through multiple settings but couldn’t correct it. During the drive to work/home the next day, any time I would be out of gear for more than a moment, ie going into second for a turn, the needle would drop and stall the truck out. Not fun half way into a turn at 15-20mph and loose power steering unexpectedly. Yesterday I erased the firmware and reflashed ESP and my last tune before converting to NSP- problem solved. I’ll be watching for an update addressing this, maybe I just had a bad flash; it seemed there was zero engine rpm control after the update. I didn’t see any new function to control this but very possible I overlooked/missed it.

    Dang I have noticed this as well on mine but I figured it was part of the MAP prediction that I had turned on. I’ve noticed mine stalls out when coming up to a stop sign in neutral.

    I kinda had a similar issue. Do you notice it going rich (or anything else)? For me it was going rich in the situation you described. Long story short, try messing with Decel Cut.

    After reading a hair they mentioned using lower numbers in the lower Rpms. This thus far has worked much better for me.

    I have not had to be as thorough as I have wanted to be. Been working too much. I too did the above, around the time that I swapped to the NSP firmware. It had helped tremendously.

    I do have a question though, on the topic of Haltech tuning. What is the parameter for this adjust? When you let off the throttle, there is fuel enrichment. I can be cruising at ~14.7 AFR, then let off of throttle, and it will go to between 11-12 aAFR. What is the name of where that is to be adjusted so that it doesn't enrich so much?

    You could probably set up a zero demand fuel table. If it's right when the throttle blade snaps closed it might even be simpler. You could turn on the throttle follower feature so that it has a decay and it keeps it open a little bit with the IAC to avoid the rich Spike

    No prob, I fought the same thing with mine, if you don't have a speed sensor hooked up it acts weird about throttle after coasting in gear too and can stall.

    No speed sensor here. There is a strange surging in the 1300-1600 range, with low load. I haven't yet had the time to look into that either. It did only start once I got the intake vvt working though.

    This may also be what I am needing to adjust.

    So this won't work for those using the MAP Predictive function, instead of traditional Transient throttle.

    Do you mind telling me which version you’re on? I am having the same issue and it’s 105 here in tx so I’m losing patience with the truck shutting off and oscillating when the ac is on.

    I can sit here with my foot barely on the gas and ac on and it’s steady but as soon as I take my foot off and try to let it idle it starts acting stupid and jumping all over the place. Anyone have some pointers? I adjusted the decel fuel cutoff values to what @Jon64l suggested but still having the same issue
