I was wondering if anyone knows anything about a custom fitment intercooler, turbo, headers, camshafts, pistons, ect... for a 2.7 tacoma standard cab automatic transmission due to my leg cant do manual. Right now have a aftermarket cold air intake HPS Performance air intake, Magna flow exhaust nothing too major but trying.

I'm not mechanic or tuner or anything really, but like how much HP? Is it stock internals for the engine? What kind of headers? Just the parts was being used though seen mentioned a used TRD turbo kit but modified. Cause manjority It seems like all are manual varients and this is my only vehicle dont want to make my transmission die

I fabricated the turbo manifold (header). Then adapted the turbo to fit with the intake charge system that URD had created for their supercharger kit.

His is a manual. We never dyno tested it. His setup had the Map-Ecu3 with the URD 5th injector, for additional fueling.

I am not sure how much power and torque it made. He chose to only run about 5psi, with that specifically sized turbo. It was well more powerful than OEM performance though. I cannot say one way or the other how much torque over OEM the Automatic will handle.

The best person to give input however, is @BassAckwards.

I am running a similar setup like @Torspd mentioned above, and it is using his Turbo header that he built me. I built a hot side charge pipe and kept the components like the intercooler, driver side charge pipe/5th injector, and MAPECU3 that i used with the URD SC at one point.

Here are some ugprades for your a340. I'm pretty sure these transmissions were used behind the 1GR-FE in the 03-04 4runner's, so i think with a shift kit you shouldn't have many issues. I have heard of harsh shifts caused from boost with your auto trans and the URD kit, so that may be something to keep in mind.
    - Transgo shift kit for A340E/A340F
    - Transgo reprogramming kitA340E/A340F
    - IPT Valve Body Upgrade Service A340E/A340F
    - IPT Upgraded Performance Rebuild Kit
    - IPT high stall torque converter upgrade service

As far as performance, the turbo setup is night and day difference for torque delivery compared to the URD SC. The URD SC was a big upgrade over stock performance, but the turbo was an even bigger upgrade over the URD kit. If i could do it again, i'd start with a turbo. I am using a Borgwarner EFR 7163

Also there is some more info in my build thread here
