Turkey hunting is one of my favorite times of the year. This last year I was able to secure a lot of private land as well as a population control permit for this land and was able to harvest 9 delicious turkeys this year. Can’t wait for opening weekend here in Oregon!

Very Cool. We usually tag out every year also. We are allowed four turkeys each.

Oregon is way to liberal to allow that. We only get one tag and then have to go back to the store to buy a second and that's all you get for the year.

It is different depending on what county you are hunting in for us. Some counties allow no harvesting of turkeys allowed. I am lucky there is an over abundance of the in Jack county.

We can apply for a tag in the fall but there is limit amounts given out and its for specific areas. Its stupid because there is an absolutely insane amount of turkeys in this state. The property owner had over 300 mixed in with his cows and horses eating all the hay during the winter. Its even illegal to fish for any species of fish at night time no matter the time of year.

Hopefully wack a big ol' tom opening day this year!

Nice to see this thread come alive again!
Season starts here April 24th. I have the first week of May off due to a leftover vacation week from 2018.
Once again I'll be hunting "shared" private land (club I belong to leases it).
Hopefully, since I'm starting up a week and a half into the season, the Fudds will be done already. It usually works out.

    Nice!
I'll start off with my old 870.
If I get one early, I usually switch gears and play with the old timey, low tech gear...
(shamelessly reposting my 25 pound slob from Pa. several seasons back,lol)...

It's been a couple of years, but seems they ranged from one to two bucks a piece, depending on brand. Again, feel like I got lucky when the cheap Remington Nitros patterned as well as any, Plus I caught them on close out after season at Wally World and bought up several boxes.
