    i practice what i preach :)

not waiting for anything nor do i expect anything but, that doesn't mean i won't be ready if it does.

btw, me and the wife have watched that show and agree that the people portrayed are almost all retarded fat bodies. lol 99% of the people are so out of shape and riddled with health problems and have little to no skill in the out of doors.

The show is often pretty vague about locations. Where's it's not, you'd probably have to wait in line to get anything.

A little extra body weight is often an asset when food is limited, which is why those with a bit more heft were often viewed as more desirable spouses for settlers and similar in a past.

I love how the guy who invented the Crovel shot off his thumb with a 10/22. If Nat geo wasn't filming it with an emt present then the dumb bastard probably would have died from shock. It really knocked my confidence in the quality of the Crovel after seeing that level of stupidity.

Of course, you could always use a program to download the entire forum to a hard drive. This would allow you to troll the forum to your heart's content after an zombie apocalypse or similar, with the most significant benefit being that nobody would be able to respond to your posts - you alone would win every disagreement or debate.

Ever seen the movie Ice Age, when they meet the dodo birds? They're preparing for rising global temperatures and living underground for a million billion years, and they have 2 melons stored up for it. This show is kinda like that scene.

I mean... Really? Dude threw a canvas tent over his garden to protect it from nuclear fallout. Good job, buddy. That'll help.

when and if shtf the forest /rural area is the worst to be in. Unless you have pastures of grazing animals that will feed you, you'll just attract criminals that will come and torture you/rob you/take your animals. Best place would be to be in a small community/gated community where you can band togethor to work as a group. Even downtown would be better as in the case of shit going to hell the police presense will concentrate strictly on the main system. Almost like when your body is being attacked by a foreign virus your body will protect the main system, ie brain/heart.

I think Rural areas would be the safest and the best place to be, who says you can't band together with neighbors in a rural area? Places in a tight area like in a city or a small community will be terrible, let's say the electricity, water and gas gets shut down, your going to have a whole neighborhood of people shitting in buckets or in bushes lol sanitation is very important believe it or not in situations like that because of deseases.

People in rural areas more likey have their own veggies growing in their yards(I do) and have guns(I do also!) not saying that city people don't have guns but imagine if almost everyone in the city had guns in such a close circle, catastrophe! Hre in rural areas you have a lot of space to prepare and do stuff that you just can't get from a apartment or zero lot line homes.

Here in our rural community we talk about stuff like this from time to time and is a good thing to do, and I feel safe here, I moved from the city to the country and wouldn't want to be in the city when SHTF!
