if you plan on wheeling u better. The Avid sight says the bolt ons are 4 similar mounting as step bars and arent able to handle too much damage/stress. The weld on Avids goto different mounting locations.

If I plan on wheeling :) You havent been to a CO meet with me yet have you. Yeah I know it says that but I have been using the stock step bars as slider for a long time they are just to the point where my drivers side looks like shit. But talking with some guys who wheel harder than most, some have the bolt ons and they are holding up fine. I would weld on if I can find someone to do it I dont want an extra charge. I wheel mine all the time and just need a little strength than the stock steps.

Dude weld them, forget bolt ons. My buddy Jon will do it no problem. He's building his trail rig right now. Plus even if they fuck up, he can fix em. Jon and my other 2 friends do all their own work, smart guys too.

Will do, I just dont want to spend even more money to install them. Planing on bigger lift tires and rims at the same time as the sliders so then at some point next year I can do the front bumper and be done.

weld first then the beer. But i'd be happy to pay in beer or pizza if it means I save $ on having them welded on.
