Random question --- good friend just got a 2007 jeep and I'm going to be helping with a few things. Anyone have a good suggestion for the tacomaworld equivalent for jeeps they recommend. I see many forums and would hopefully like to find the right one early. THANKS!

So I have to admit, I was a member on there and then dropped it.

I actually should sign back up. Not that I need another website to absorb any more of my brain matter.

I honestly don't spend much time on those forums these days. I used to be on Lost Jeep's often but mostly in the diesel forum and not much else. When the vehicles started to get older and teenagers and young 20s guys that knew it all started to be the owners that mostly went there I made myself scarce.

The Jeep was a good 11 year ride but I'll be happy and sad in a way to move on.

Wrangler people are weird to me. They think it's the only Jeep that can off road.... Not true.

I loved my TJ and would still be driving it had some jackass not rear ended me at a red light. I will say after driving the Tacoma, I would never go back to DD'ing a Wrangler

I was also a fan of the CJ, XJ, ZJ, MJ and diesel KJ

Liberties that are built up are pretty bad ass. We had an orange one around here for a while. SAS and CO's. pretty sweet rig.

You would have been disappointed today though. A stock Liberty hit the RTI ramp today...it was all in fun though. Didn't get a picture of it...but did get these.

I drove a few wranglers. They are definitely something unique. I do think they are too rough for a daily driver. I really liked the liberty it's a bit more smooth and with a little lift capable. Off road just not in the rock piles. I remember the first time I went to Rauch Creek off road park with a group from a local 4x4 and Jeep shop. No thought I was going to drive that Liberty but I went on all the trails all the stock wranglers did, even did some with less drama cus of Diesel torque. Also I had a full body with real windows and heated seats, it was January and 15° that day.
Getting a Tacoma will be different but hey the Jeep is getting too old. Still running good but I feel like it's time for something new before the is trouble. I know I'm going to enjoy the Tacoma just a much.

I'll always be a Jeep fan. It was just time for something a bit more refined. I have no complaints with the Tacoma. My first vehicle back in 96 was a 95 T4R, so I have history with Toyota too :D

I remember that Jeep. He was from Colorado I think. His real name was Troy or Travis or something like that. He was on a few of the Jeep forums. I believe that was a solid axel swap. Definitely Stands out, bad ass. I wish I know what happened to it. I think the original owner sold it.
My 2 inch lift is nothing that good. It's served me well.

I have no clue. I lost touch of it once Keith sold JF and I started going to WF more. If I'm not mistaken, he developed some aftermarket parts for the KJ with that build...…..or I just made that up in my head

You actually could be right about developing parts with it. He was probably working with someone else on that.
