I'm on a limited messaging plan, so I figured a way to get "free" messaging.

    Requirements:
Phone with e-mail capabilities (like a smartphone)
    Data plan
E-mail account that allows for POP3 or IMAP

I have a Motorola Q and gmail. I setup gmail to allow IMAP e-mails, then I setup an additional e-mail account in windows mobile. Now, when I take pictures, I click on "Send" instead of "Send Via MMS" Clicking on "Send" takes you to your e-mail accounts and allows you to send out your pictures via your gmail.

Not sure about your carrier but T-Mobile, I believe, considers MMS to be part of the data plan. If you have an unlimited data plan you wouldn't have to worry about MMS messaging, just SMS.

It's pretty basic, but I never thought to do it.

All the folks with iphones have been having to do this, but I never thought to do it with my smart phone.
