    Has anyone installed any non plug and play tweeters in there 3rd gen? Any advice on this would be appreciated

    There was a guy with the JBL system who installed 3.5 JBL speakers in the dash. Is that what you are thinking about?

    I’m just talking about putting new tweeters in the dash but not the plug and play kicker ones the probably I am having is that the tweeters are wired in parallel with the door speakers and the factory harness has 4 wires so if I install new tweeters I’m not sure what wires to and splice into where

    I would stick with kicker ones until you get an amp and then rewire everything.
