Used some extra plastic I had to attach the tabs back together.




Everything back together and waiting for its horns from Krusey1011.


Oh yeah, don't forget the soldering iron is still hot and lean over near it. Shirt got a little too close...

 

Good job. Don't feel bad I've burned a few holes myself...

 

Had a problem with install today. The arrow is pointing to an area on the triangles that was hitting the sides of the headlights. I had to cut a few pieces off the triangles on both sides allow them to fit. As I was sitting the grill down into slots, the grill would reach all the way to the bottom but stuck out because of the metal hitting.



After a little trimming, the grill is on. Still awaiting the horns to go on though. The second picture is a little pink due to the lights underneath the carport. During the spring I will likely take the grill back off and spray the silver pieces behind to hide them better. I want to see how the painted mesh takes the winter here as well.

 

You used zip tie mounts on the outside edge of the triangles. That did not leave you enough room to clear the headlights... Take a look at this thread:

I thought it was the zipties as well but moved them and still hit the metal.

 

I used zip ties on mine through the drilled holes and mine hit the lights also. I was debating if i should trim the metal triangle or not.

 

The last picture is with a lot of light directed towards the grill. I will paint behind the mesh eventually.

Now the question is, to leave it black or change the color of the horns? They came black from Krusey1011.

 

Came out nice
The Emblem doesn't stand out, lost in the black, color match white maybe,
or try to match the "Smoke" color in the headlights for just a little contrast.

My mesh is on the way! Were you driving around with no grill on your truck while you were doing this mod?

Also, I'd move those horns... IMHO. Looks good though!
