Well it's for 9 months. I don't really want to quit just to find another job and quit that 9 months later then come back and find another job

 

if its only 9 months then why would you even think to relocate

 

Because my company allows us to submit rotation transfer requests that allow us to be in another office for up to a year. Then come right back.

Yeah the problem is that a lot of people do so it's competitive. South Carolina has a small office so it's even harder.

 

Long distance sucks. I was stationed in Florida while my wife was stationed in Maryland and we had to be apart for a year and a half. Talk about a shit load of money in plane tickets. Probably spent 10 grand on tickets over that time.

 

Psh I'd quit, go to SC, get a grocery store job or something laid back for the year. Relax a bit, wheel a ton and enjoy myself then reapply at my old job or look for a new one. I'm assuming you're younger (early 20's). No need to get stuck with a job that young, go have fun (unless you need the money to support your GF through school).

 

Yeah flying back and forth is not cheap.

I need to help with school and a place out there. Luckily it's cheap.

Also I would like to stick around for 2 years if possible. We are trying to move back to SB once she's back and I'd like to have a good resume for jobs up here
