Just emailed them seeing if they would exchange my Ballistic Uniballs that I purchased for LCA's that I'll never build. Need some more rod ends for 3 link.

So pumped. Finally got my remote to work for the 4runner and solved my high idle I’ve been chasing since buying the 4runner. Let’s just hope it passes smog tomorrow.

Got the kings put in. They were almost impossible to adjust on the truck, and I couldn't do it off the truck with my little vise. I called DSM and they said they don't recommend adjusting on the truck, and you should put them on, measure, put them in a spring compressor, move the collar where you want it, and reinstall.

So I installed them as is. I'm about 1 1/4" higher than I was before. Now I'm right at 23". I'll run them for a week, measure, and if they're still that high I'll throw them in a spring compressor and bring them down 1/2-3/4".

Right around 1.5" on each side, 14-15 turns.

I made the exact same switch and I love my kings. My toytecs had so much preload I lost about 1/5" in height. With LC 8 wraps in the back I'm sitting like a stink bug.

Yeah so far in the 10 miles I've driven they seem to ride pretty good. I'll get a better feel for how they compare to the Boss ones after I drive on them for a little longer. I think mine are set too high. My inner CV boots are touching, and I only have .5" of rake. Next weekend I'll pull them and bring them down about an inch.

3rd gen guys, will a 285 fit in the spare tire spot with an aftermarket bumper? Picking up 5 SCS SR8’s tomorrow and 285 Duratracs but not sure if I have to find a 255 to run in the spare spot.

Probably not. A lot of aftermarket bumpers have less clearance for a spare underneath than stock ones because they're tucked up closer to the body for departure angles. What bumper specifically?

Their website says the hybrid won't fit a spare at all in the stock location, but it doesn't say anything for the plate bumper, but I doubt there's really any difference.

    Interesting, thanks!

Picking up 5 16” gunmetal SR8’s for $550 tonight. Tiny bit of rash on the rings but can’t beat it for that price.

You can try using some ratchet straps with them on the truck to loosen the spring tension a bit, and may be able to spin the collar.

I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately when I was trying to adjust the passenger side one I got it to turn just enough to where the Allen bolt is on the back and can't be accessed. I pulled the coilover, tightened the Allen bolt, and put them back in. Next weekend I'll pull them both, put them in a spring compressor and back it off 4-5 turns I think. If it needs more fine tuning from there I might give the rachet straps a try.

Yeah it popped up last night and I emailed within 15 minutes. Luckily I'm heading his way anyways and he is going to hold them for me. Was going to try and get some SR8 anyways as it's the one SCS wheel I haven't owned yet.
