damn, shoved a 12" under there? That's impressive, I barely fit my 10" doubles in there without lowering the stock mounting arm off the axle. I didnt want to let them hang lower to snag.

Nope, I had OME on my previous 4Runner and had no complaints so why not stick with it.

I’m not going overboard and not out to make a crawler or LT 4Runner. Since I’m headed back to CA I’ll be taking multi day trips out in Nevada and down into AZ. I’ve got a RTT going on and the ARB fridge in the rear with drawers

It’s all personal preference. This will be my 3rd vehicle with OME installed on it and its something I prefer. I ran the 5100’s in my old 2003 Tacoma with OME coils and Dakar’s and I just didn’t like it. I ended up pulling the 5100’s and swapping them for Nitrochargers then shipped the 5100’s to my dad for his 2004 Prerunner. He likes them though.

Dang wind picking up here in NV again, I forgot again to buy an anemometer, but by now I can roughly gauge wind speed by how much the trailer shakes. Jetstream I guess is still hanging low into the Southwest. I'm guessing 35mph now from the south, supposed to get stronger tomorrow up to maybe 60mph.

It's livable in a trailer, this has been a fairly constant battering since mid-Feb. Good times. Ripped through 32g's of propane in the past two weeks.

And here we go, trailer shaking I guesstimate 45mph from the south. I have two more full 20lb LP tanks in the Runner so warmth and electric are fine.

whats your rear fender measurement from the ground to the center of the fender flare in the rear?

I was at 41 - 1/2" before the drawers. Trying to see if i will need the 3" MTLTs

40.25" driver 41.25" passenger here, empty of any gear, on the MT HDs, 295 tires ~ 33.5" diameter. My box is probably heavier than yours, and my bumper and swingout definitely are.

Forgot about the tent, but yeah, I'd put them in first, see how it does and go from there.
