Right. Hence all my reading today. I'm not touching my truck for at least a year. I'm running it as is for now and going to enjoy it before it goes under the knife. Also gives me plenty of time to plan. Do you have a screen shots of the link set up on the excel file you are going to do on your 4runner? Just want to see what anti squat, roll axis angle, link mount measurements, and lengths you'll be running. Just 100% curiosity.

Yes we have way different views. We like to wheel and take care of our rigs at the same time. Its a challenge but we do what we can to keep them clean.

Seems to be the compromise you have to make, Ground clearance on your links vs. anti squat numbers. From my understanding this really only comes into play under acceleration. I think it would be something you'd want to address if you had 300+ horse in your 4runner and hauling ass. Your 4runner still has enough power that I'm sure it's going to sit back a bit under acceleration but how do you think it's going to react when you have to get on the gas a bit in the rocks? and do you think that will play in to the back of your truck wanting to jump and hop in the rocks? I'm sure we will have to wait and see what it does in reality but is my thought process headed down the right path?

It's been a while since I looked at or thought about link geometry so these are only in general terms.

There was some discussion at some point of also looking at the numbers when the suspension has moved in each direction from ride height (like up and down 4" or 8" depending on total travel). If AS changes noticeably through the range of travel, it could create oscillation because of shifting forces back and forth between the springs and links and/or on and off the dual rate stop.

From a crawlers perspective, acceleration feels like the wrong term and any drive motion applies. Especially under a bunch of low range gear reduction (torque).

Well I'm 1800 miles into this road trip and its going great. Ive been to 3 new states, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota.

I spent the weekend in Wisconsin at a lake house with a friend. Did some fishing, but didnt catch anything. Did see a couple bald eagles though. We went to the upper peninsula of Michigan for the day and saw lake Michigan too. The first picture is from the cabin, the second is a lighthouse on Lake Michigan.

Today I left Wisconsin and got lunch in Minneapolis with another friend who suggested I go north towards Duluth before I head west. Im glad I did. The last three pictures are from Duluth and Lake Superior.

The clouds cleared up now, but too bad there's no solar activity for northern lights tonight from my campsite. Tomorrow I head west towards Montana.
