Sup guys, just joined, I'm much more active on t4r but I think both sites are pretty great places for info.
I've got a 2000 4runner SR5 auto that I've just started building over the past few months

The tacoma ones worked no problem for you?
Are you still running oem motor mounts for the block side?

It was the alternator after all and I had that fixed in like 20 min cause I had a spare.

Miah @Oneluv13T4R had the same issue. Welded up the dmz mounts, it was super easy didn’t have to pull the motor to do it...
But he still drove it around for a while with both mounts sunk into the frame and all is good now

Got the tires on the ground and set the toe
Now onward to my dam engine woes
Starting simple again after chasing this crap for ever

    Timing is good
    Valve lash is good
About to go rent a compression tester
Here’s the plugs cyl 1-4 left to right
3 and 4 not looking too good, pretty caked with oil.sooooo I’m sure I’ve got blown rings or a bad valve seal

Throw some new plugs in it and drive it till next summer. I had a 22re in my old Toyo van with 335,000 on it. From 235,000 to 335,000 three of ,my plugs where oil fouled every time I checked. I'm sure it was the rings and I'm sure the compression was shit but it kept running. It's a pretty gutless motor to begin with so loosing a little power was no big deal.

Yea I’m throwing plugs in again. These have been in about 6,000 miles, but those are some super hard miles. Last time I checked compression it was barely ok, but even across the board.

I know your pain on that one. Luckily I had a spare. At least alternators are an easy swap.

But had to take my wife’s car for the week for work.

She called and said the battery light came on and heard noises. Told her to pull over and check it out and smoke was rolling out of the alternator. Got a new one and belt on the way

I have no idea where you could have gotten sand in your brakes...

    Truck looks good though.

Thanks! I rolled 196k on the way home too. I stupidly topped off my coolant reservoir before i left so during my hard runs it overflowed and hit the fan and puked excess coolant EVERYWHERE.
