Only real body damage I have is on rear quarter panel so no getting rid of that. Kind of want to try the dildo dent removal method but don’t really want to buy a dildo

Aren’t they horizontal uniballs technically? Or am I miss matching terms.

My LCA has a bolt on piece that bolts to where the LBJ is with stock bolts. And then you just weld the fingers to the top plate.

Well, goes to show what I know. I've been on TW for a while now and never realized there was a thread of nothing but the cool guys with 4runners. I've been fighting my way through the threads with these Tacoma guys like a lone wolf, LOL

Stop in this thread one time and Bam!, Here's all my peeps!

Yeah, it's not a bad place to hang out. I'm spending way to much time on TW. I blame @AssBurns. He made me join so we could all chat in one spot before the last trip.

BTW, I have a set of front diff mounting arms for you. As long as you promise to get me them back with new bushings the next time I roll my diff. lol

    Question for my 4Runner fellows...

The suspension on my '05 is shot. Dead, dead, dead. Needs to be replaced ASAP. The front is bad, but the rear is effectively useless. Not "dangerous," but in really, really rough shape.

Budget is $500, or thereabouts. As little as possible, ideally.

    Need some opinions on options:
-Option 1 would be go for the OME kit ($900) and just suck it up and have it done
-Option 2 would be 5100s all around, replace the rear springs with the Toytec Superflex ones and then once a little extra money gets freed up replace the front springs with Eibachs (this option would be about $550 initially then whatever the front springs cost once I do them)

Here's the catch: I might be selling the 4Runner somewhat soon. The 4th gen, that is.

Just bought a 5th gen as a daily, so the 4th gen will be primarily an off-road vehicle for the next few months-- or years-- until I sell it. As such, time isn't of the essence, but I'd like to get the suspension sorted so I can wheel it when the time allows. In its current condition, I wouldn't take it anywhere except on my commute.

    Thoughts? Thanks everyone.

Take-off lift or OEM? With the 255/85/16s there's no chance of it fitting at stock height. I'll probably keep the truck at least into the winter and have a few wheeling trips planned before then...

Is that what the 6112 is?

The OME kit seems appealing in that I think it's a no-fuss, "buy this and not have to think about it" kit. But it's $400 more than I was looking to spend initially. What about the TRD Pro Bilstein kit? I think those can be found for <$600 new

I have a heavy bumper up front so maybe that's the best way to go for me. So maybe I'll hunt this option:
    Front: 5100 + 886
    Rear: 6112 (5125?) + Superflex
