    I know people.

I could start a video series. Will it dissolve...

I accidently got a wif of it last night. It burned. I am going to bring some with me to Utah this weekend. It will react violently with the white stuff on the rocks. :)

I picked up a 2016 4-Runner Trail as my DD this week. The only mods I have done so far is trade in those Dunlop AT20s for some BFG All Terrain KO2s. I kept the stock size 265/70R17s to avoid any temptation to lift it. The only future mods I am thinking about are some CBI ditch light brackets and lights.

This isn't necessarily just for you, but seeing as Hefty makes it, could be a good place to start...

The bumpers on the third gens are 3 pieces. I have always wondered of the center section could be replaced with a metal plate with an integrated hitch and tire swing. I know it probably isn't the easiest thing to do... I was checking out the site, and I saw that for the Xterra Hefty makes the exact thing I was thinking of. Has anyone done this before? Would it look strange? I know the corners wouldn't offer as much protection as a full bumper, but a lot of the off road bumpers don't cover that side vent and leaves some body "exposed". B

I've seen it done before. Someone on T4R made their own and did it that way. It's been a while and I couldn't even tell you where to look cus I have no idea. It's an interesting idea.. The only thing is those end caps crumple like coke cans. Ask me how I know. For someone who doesn't do a lot of offroading but wants that "stock look" with extra protection it would be perfect, however not sure the demand is there. People just rather go ahead and have the full protection.

I think once we get the front and rear bumpers built, we'll have a solid grasp on how things mount and what kind of custom touches we can do. If he builds a rear bumper that can simply exclude side wings to accommodate the stock end caps with little fabrication, I don't see it being a problem. However, that's not my call. From a cost standpoint it might be cheaper. They'll build you anything you want. Just as long as you know that if it's custom job 1) We'll need the rig and 2) It will likely cost more.

    Good to know. Thanks.

I really like the 4xinnovations rear, I just don't want to add a ton of weight.

I was told the other day, "I wish you spent as much as me as you did on the 4runner"
