    Would you guys happen to know if 3rd gen calipers are bigger than 1st gen tacoma ones? I'm kinda pissed that my 15" outlaws didn't fit and I'm trying to figure out why.

    Just depends on the 4Runner. Like Tacomas they had 16" and 15" rim calipers, so it depends on what ones you got.

    The 16" rim calipers will not work with a 15" wheel unless you grind the calipers or wheel. Can't say the 15" calipers will definitely work, but should.

    Been really thinking of getting some 285/75/17's (34's), but torn between getting the Cooper AT3's ($580 and 56 lbs) or the Falken AT3W's ($650 and 66 lbs). I love the look of the Falkens and they have a great 50k tread warranty and 30 day satisfaction warranty but they are 10 lbs heavier per tire. I have the V8 but I'm not sure how much that 10 lbs will make. The coopers just look way too plain to me.

    I like the look of the coopers over the Falklens. And well I just like cooper as a brand over falken.

    It's going on the Tundra so only fire roads and camping. No serious wheeling for this boat.

    The Falkens look a lot better in person. Saw them a few weeks ago and they looked awesome, aggressive sidewall but the tread looked very streetable.

    The coopers just look like a street tire but will probably have the best road manners.

    Ugh function over form.
