I used those coopers on a "probe truck" F250 with a 2500# soil probe. Ran them at 80 psi. They were surprisingly quiet. I had 1 flat between the tread and about two years ago I took a chunk out of the sidewall about the size of a silver dollar, still hasn't lost any air. I work out of a USDA regional office and 15 of the 20 trucks run those coopers... My coworker just put some on his personal F150. The wider the size ou get the better they look. I can get a picture today if you want...

I shouldnt share this with you but....

Any reason why the BFG All Terrain isn't being considered?

    They don't have a 285/75/17.

Lol. I don't know about looks but I have been beating on them on different projects for the past 10 years with good results.

They are cheaper than Goodyear MTRs and General Grabbers which I also considered. They are also really quiet on the street which is good for a DD.

To each their own as long as they let you hit the dirt.

I would just run a 285/70R17 but that's just me.

That's what I'm running now and they are fine, but with my Tundra they look a bit small. I know it's superficial and only for looks, but it would bring the truck together and give it the stance I'm looking for. Also I'm trying to get my truck purchases in now before we buy a house and have our second daughter. Not going to be in the budget or have time when that happens so i might as well get it done now. Also found out I'm getting a raise this month because a coworker is leaving the firm and I'm taking over her responsibilities.

Sounds like me. Wife wants a second kid and I told her the timeline of where I want my truck before we have another haha. She hates me but that's all I asked for!

Agreed. Except if you think about, a 37x12.5x17 is a pretty good size too. 2 inches bigger than my 315/75/16 's and the same width.

Yep, I know I need to get my toys in now because come July I'm not going to have any time/freedom.

Yep, a tall medium width tire. I wanted the 255's, but it's not enough of a height difference between my current 285's and they are so skinny haha.

What do you guys run for gear oil? @ramonortiz55 and I have been talking about it a bit this morning... He's an Amsoil guy. I would have ran that, but it's hard to find and I want to have the 4runner done by Friday if possible. So I ordered two quarts of Royal Purple GL5 75W90 on Amazon for $18.99 a piece, I was pretty happy with that price and I've heard good things about Royal Purple in the past.

Nice, I did that last summer to clean the throttle body. Replace that TB gasket with the paper one that's meant for supercharged 3.4's while you're in there.

I looked at Mobil 1 as well, that's what I was planning on running, but I read a thread where almost everyone recommended the Royal Purple, so I spent a little more and went that way. I have Valvoline Synthetic in the rear, but I don't think it's GL5 so I need to change it soon.
