He actually hit one of the road marker signs and got the front end hung up on it. And he had no reverse or clutch :( and bald tires. I thought mine were bad...his easily 10x worse

This guy is a disgrace. You should've taken his keys and the runner. How the fuck did he get stuck?!

He's a dumb ass then. If you don't got a clutch or reverse you don't go out in conditions like that. Hell you shouldn't go out at all, but especially in conditions like that. I'm not gonna say shit on bald tires because I have bald tires, but this was a total fail

Yeah I have nothing against bald tires. I use them. I just think this guys kind of an idiot. And lets be fair here. Clutch and reverse gear out at the same time? I don't think its the 2nd gens fault this time. Sounds like somebody doesn't know how to shift into reverse correctly

He apparently bought it like that. He said he has a transmission sitting at home.

Previous owner can't then. For some people its hard to get it right. I've had 2 friends attempt to drive mine and both failed there. One grinded the hell out of it, the other couldn't find the gear. He ended up asking me to put it in gear for him. Was pretty sad

The only car I had issue with driving a manual in was my buddies Audi S4. Most sensitive manual ever, that who ever decided that R should be next to 1 is dumb. Way to easy to get it into R when trying to downshift to 1

    And?
Was just saying there's nothing wrong with bald tires.

And? I don't care. Its more fun to build a rig than get one from the factory. Also anyone can buy something from the factory. Not everyone will go through the trouble of engine swapping then supercharging on top of all the other mods. I think that's more respect worthy

But there is something wrong with bald tires...

Says the guy who can't do a head gasket.

Only if you don't know how to handle them.

And can't yet* I'm building up my skill set. Considering my previous experience is 1 year of high school auto shop (where we mostly just fucked around and yelled at the teacher) I don't think I'm doing too bad. He never taught us how to pull apart an engine. Just general maintenance stuff. I'm slowly learning things though. Isn't that part of the point of a build and forums like this? To learn new things and mod up your rig yourself?
