There is literally no advantage to running a bald tire. Especially off road.

Maybe if you spent less time screwing around and yelling at the teacher he would have taught you. The forum is here to help people out, I get help and I would like to think I have helped other people too.

I am just saying don't talk shit about adding bolt ons if you haven't personally done anything yourself... Sure all of us want a supercharged v8 4runner, but realistically is that something you would jump in and drive across the country on a whim? Maybe, but not compared to the reliability of a stock engine with toyota supported components.

A head gasket isn't hard. You learn best by doing. I suggest you buy the needed parts and dive in. You have a daily driver anyways. There's no real excuse to just pulling the heads in an afternoon. You'll learn real quick.

I know that. I just don't want to touch this job alone because you have to get it perfect to get the head gasket to not blow again and I only want to do this once. If this was my buddies Durango (he also blew his HG) I'd just go for it. Hell if it was the Firebirds I would. I'm just worried about this one that's all.

Oh and you mean these parts? 1ae12cf61cafafc63026800c43d3756c_e6f8ba694cb0bb29bf6f212b7b00f29819ae1ab7.jpg

Been playing a little off-road today. Nothing technical, just scenic. Will do a photo drop later. These icons are comfy

@RedRunner87 too bad you're not close, I have a set of 5 stars I'm selling soon and they would look awesome on your truck.

Haha, was just looking at your pics with the new tires and 5 stars would look sweet. Thought you already had them for some reason.

I've been thinking about picking some up. I think we were talking last month(or a couple months ago) about how much 5 stars would go for. I really like the updated look of the 5 Stars

Oh yeah, I've been holding onto mine since they have tires on them and was going to swap them on my 4Runner if I ever went back to stock.

It's pretty easy, just have a big hammer to hit the bottom of it to separate it from the ball joint. The long bolts aren't bad at all but you will have to move some wires in the engine bay out of the way. Hardest part is removing the ball joint out of the spindle.
