    why didn't anyone tell me how much of a pita it is to change out UCA's? gotta rent a 3 jaw puller or a ball joint removal kit from auto zone. Anyone have a suggestion on which one to try first?

    are they adjusted all the way up already? Since you can loosen the bolts and push them up inside the setting.

    Try the ball joint removal kit.
    I know that total chaos sells a metal cup that is the correct size for pressing them out.
    I believe I used a combination of two cups from the auto zone kit to make it work. Same thing getting the new slugs in, you have to press them in.

    I've used both. The jaw puller is hard to use with removing the ball joint because it moves and no flat surface to press against. The cups are better for removing.

    For install I liked using the 3 jaw puller to install the slug adapter. Put the bolt in the slug and use the top of the bolt as the surface for the puller to press against.

    Ordered these RCI Metalworks skids after almost ripping off my stock skid this weekend. They were the only company around that offered them in 1/4" aluminum so I went with that to save weight.

    I would have bought the metal cup before hand but it's a little too late for that now. I'll be trying that auto zone kit for sure

    I like that way of installing and pressing the new slugs in. Thanks for the idea. Hope it works out for me.
