It's the same as FJ's, 3rd gen 4Runners, and 5Th gen 4Runners if that helps haha

Are you going to change the upper mount? This guy had a smoothie set made with the OEM mounts, but I personally would ditch the upper before the lower.

    http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showpost.php?p=204393&postcount=217

I would just spend the time (or money if not doing it yourself) and get new upper and lower mounts made. 12s are going to have to go lower than the OEM mounts, 10s should fit pretty well like stock. May end up needing wheel spacers too to clear the tubes.

Clock the bypass tubes and you won't need spacers (unless you've got wheels with a lot of backspacing). Layout 2:

I spent plenty of time looking at that, which one did you order? I don't know if that would work with a top mount like I did, but have never had a bypass in hand to check clearance. Resi to the front and tubes on the back, remote?

It would still work with your top mount the way it is. The plate off the frame that supports the upper mount is the side you would have the resi hose. Keep in mind that with bypass shocks, the resi hose comes off the BOTTOM of the shock, not the top like smoothbodies. You would just need extended hoses.
    Some shock porn for ya:

Sweet, yeah I knew about the resi coming off the bottom. Where are you going to mount the resi, and when does the 4R go under the knife?

Ummm. The shocks came in yesterday...and they are being repurpsed for a different project for now.
The resi was going to go to the top corner of the frame similar to where yours is, but not as far rearward.

Because bump stops. The rod end pictured is a welded rod end instead of threaded. This allows the shock to have a shorter extended/compressed length but still allow for 12" stroke.

what size bottom bushing is yours? I saw on filthy they have different bushing sizes and i know the t4r is big.

I've honestly just thought to get the 10" and use a stem adapter for mine with the welded end like you got there and be fine with mine.

Kings now come standard with 1.5" (used to be 1.25") misalignment spacers on the spherical bearings. No clue on the factory width, I never mic'd it. My plan all along was to plasma all that shit off and build my own lower mounts.

If you're just using stock mounts...why not just use OE replacements?

You could just measure what collapsed and extended length you want, call DSM and get ADS to build you a set. No fab work required.
