The tool in your garage that you should spend money on is a good welder. Even if you don't use it often it will pretty much last forever. Miller and Lincoln both make good welders. For the heavy stuff you can always go cheap and get an ARC welder.

I have plenty of cheap HF stuff around the garage but the welder is a Miller and the torque wrench is a Kobalt.

I have had quite a bit of welding from high school shop classes to my dad teaching me to use oxy acetylene. I had not welding anything in quite a while when I bought the bronco so I got a bunch of scrap metal and just started practicing until I felt my welds were good enough to start building stuff.

Not a build (yet), but going to look at this beauty Monday. Possibly trading in the taco for the 4Runner. image.jpg

It's gonna be weird not driving a truck, but the 4runners are so badass. Would y'all recommend Air Right 1000 or Firestone bags if I'm gonna be hauling a Polaris ranger?(2000lbs maybe including trailer and gear)

I don't know much about airbags but I think if you get some solid coils, you'll be okay. Everyone on here like metaltech springs, I've been looking into icons overland springs. They have a pretty decent sized following

Yeah if I did springs I was looking at OME. Wasn't sure if I could upgrade the springs and leave everything else stock

Oh didn't realize you want to keep stock. Don't think so. Unless you got custom coils. There is a company that makes custom coils to your specs that isn't too expensive

So I can't replace the rear stock springs with OME springs, and leave the rest of the suspension alone? If not, then I'll just go with air bags for the time being.

Ome springs add lift I think so you'd have to swap some parts. For stock height, airbags might be your best bet

I did this too. Looks good man. I messed up mine and they aren't straight so a buddy is printing me a new set. How'd you fix the broken tab?

Mine aren't perfect, hoping for SRQ to come out with theirs and I'll upgrade. I zip ties the corner and it's staying in place so far. Just need to figure out how to wire these up. Wiring is not my forte

Mine are switchback and what I did was wire the wire into my corner lights so they come on with one turn of my light stalk. And the amber wired into my turn signals. It wasn't too bad. In the future when I redo my lights I'll put the white daytime on a switch.
