Sounds about right for the motor plus trans. But from my understanding, new fuel lines are needed, new tank, and just some misc things.

Ive got to think install is at least a couple grand too

Yeah diesel doesn't like gasoline so fuel system is replaced but if you do it yourself it can't be that bad on the wallet. just time consuming

I actually had an MK6 GTI and traded it in on this Fiesta. GTI looked better and was nicer inside. But it also had a fair share of mechanical issues. Bought it with 30k miles, turbo went out under warranty at 40k. A crank sensor for $400 at 50k and sold it at 67k. Bought the Fiesta new, has 45k on it in just over 2 years. Not one issue. They aren't even the same cars to drive. The GTI is more refined, but the Fiesta feels faster, is faster, and is so so much more fun to drive.

Wow thanks for the review. I'm really on the edge of getting an mk6 now you have me thinking otherwise. The ST is tempting but I'm just not a huge fan of ford. Fiesta looks a little small but maybe the focus...I'd take a look at. The mk6 is an 11' and has 71k on it.

My best friend has a focus, not ST though. It's got good room considering what it is and it's a comfy drive and ride.
A few years ago, my mom would lease a new VW every two years because that's all she could get before having problems. Because of that, I'll never own a VW.
This sounds plenty chick-like but when I'm out of school, my DD will be a Honda CR-V. I think they're ugly but my mom has one now and I like the ride and they get good gas mileage. You can fit 4 adults with room left over and still have some trunk space. I feel a little weird driving it but I won't mod it and it's a practical vehicle.

Ford sucks, but the ST lineup doesn't

I think that's a pretty good deal. ST2 package gets you Recaro's and also has the moon roof option which I wish I had. Maybe be able to talk him down another $500

Well the 4runner is getting jacked by my wife...haha. She was checking it out today and suggested she drives it when it's back together and we sell her Jeep. I actually was into this idea as I hate her Jeep and it needs work that I don't want to spend money on. She's going to get her moms RX300 once her mom gets a new car in 6 months so it wouldn't be forever.

Said I couldn't mess with it though if she takes it over, damn haha.

Already picked up some flares and looking into a replacement grille and hatch. There is a hatch about 2 hours away, but they want $350. Feel like I could find one for $250. I have some Toytec eibach coils and a rear spacer (bad, but will do for now). For now I'm just trying to get it back to stock, just need to find a front bumper so it's not looking so naked up front.

Interesting. He said he hit a pothole and it deformed his wheel and got it replaced. His tire is a little deformed and never got that replaced. Also, had a scratch on the door so the whole door got repainted and the color match sucks. Windshield got replaced from a bolt falling out of a big truck and busted it. Sounds like a red flag to me. I'll pass.
