Ok so before I drove from Cali to va I replaced the rack along with inner and outer tierods all oem. Drove great all 3k miles. Now the last two days at slow speeds when I turn I get a little pop. Not quite a clunk but I can feel it in the floor board. Is it the steering column, or what else could it be?

Lbj aren't more than a year old and uppers are icons. Lca bushings are about a year old oem.

All bolts on a quick sweep were tight. Didn't do it with the old loose rack.

    This.

Dual VVTI was only for the V6. They could easily have put a blower on, just needed a spacer to clear the VVTI, it was the issue with rods breaking. They figured out pretty quick the SC's were causing too much strain on the engines at higher boost and blowing them up so rather than poor more money/time it was easier to just scrap it and focus on the new 5.7.

Yeah that is when they did it. That is why the 5th gen never got a SC.

You could SC the non-VVTI V8's and single VVTI V6. People have added an SC to the VVTI V8, just need to make a spacer and a couple other small parts. I've been tempted...

This is probably what I'll be attempting when I find a replacement 4Runner. But as I'm sure you all know, V8 4Runners aren't easy to come by.

Depends on how you see yourself using it. The OEM bumper skin is pretty unforgiving against damage, but you'll also get into some hairy shit before you need better approach angle. I like my full armor, but sometimes I wish it was 500 lbs lighter.

Starting to feel like a tank, but maybe a re-gear will help.

Oh, and obligatory picture. So much for making the truck feel lighter

They're wayyyy bigger than my 33" KO2s. Not on the truck yet, figured I'd wait until the weekend to trim for clearance. Plus America's Tire wouldn't mount them on the truck without TPMS sensors.
