It's funny when I find a group of cars that are speeding going home from work. All 4, deisal titan, some Mazda old SUV, BMW, and I, got up to 110. That was fun. Where I'm at, these two lane highways are ghost at night time.

 

Yeah it's freezing here too. It got down to 47 degrees tonight. Whew.

 

Damn. If I stay in the Navy, I think I wanna go west coast. San Diego looks awesome.

 

Yeah, laws would be some getting used to for sure. I've never stepped foot on the west but I hear nothing but great things from there. Know anyone in the aviation industry I could get a job with?

I am an airframes mechanic on MH-60S (helo's). Now that I just transferred down to Eglin AFB, I'm now working with the F-35 platform and will be down here till 2019. I just need to figure out what I need to be doing as far as getting myself set up (as far as qualifications) to transfer to the civilian side just in case I do find myself getting out of the service. In 2019 that'll put me at 8 years in.

 

Don't come to CA, pay way too much, sit in traffic way too much. This state sucks

What's not to love about taking 2 hours to move 15 miles? Or $3k per month 1 bedroom apartments?

Yeah the Downpayment is the hard part. At 20% average, you are looking to drop like 150K on a 750K house that will probably be like a 3 bed in an okay area...

 

We are looking at CO in a few years. Still expensive, but nowhere near LA. We want a 3 bed some day and I want a Garage that can fit my rig with the tent on top haha.

 

Denver is getting bad. Where I live absolutely sucks, not looking forward to the process in a few months

 

I know. I posted about wanting to move to the denver area in the CO BS thread and most people I've found don't understand how expensive LA is.

They were like "Yeah move here if you want to pay 2000 a month on your mortgage for a 4 bedroom house. Things are so expensive here"

I pay that for a 900 sqft apartment...

 

Az is pretty awesome. Me and my boyfriend bought a gorgeous 3 bed two story here for $186k. It's not big (1200sqf) but it's brand new.
