    Hi,
    Going to install some TC uac's on my 1st ft gen . So apparently there's a "slug" that has to be pressed in . Dose anyone happen to have the tool that I could barrow or know of a trick that will help with the install? Or somewere that l could buy it locally?

    So total pita. I did some reading around and found that if you freezer the slugs and heat up the knuckel it should slid in no problems . well I almost broke my vice trying that out. I think what happened is the slug started going in crooked,and wouldn't budge after that. I ended up taking the knuckels to a shop and they pushed them in with a big ass ball joint press from snap-on and a air impact.
    Since I was in there I also did the lower ball joints ,I ended up striping out a bolt in the knuckel using the hard were that came with the joints. Clean out the treads with a tap and reused the old bolts. Finally got it all buttoned up .[​IMG]

    glad you got them, generally freezer works great, with some grease and some shammering they usually pop right in.

    One went in pretty easy. But the the other must have started going crooked and didn't wanna budge after about 3/4of the way. I'm happy that their on now for sure. It was nice to be able to get my truck alined.
    Although now my power steering is making noises so I'm going have to finish replaceing the rest of the frontend now.

    I think I'm going to stay with the 265/75/16's I think my rack is freaking out beacouse of new thow that it has . My aliment might have ben kind bad for about 3 years . I have a way better turning radius now.
